Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Looking for a book or journal article you can't access? Library staff can get it for you! There are no limits on the number of articles you can request, but please be mindful of staffed hours and weekend hours, especially when making RUSH requests.
GCSOM students, faculty and staff may make an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request in many ways:
Reference & Consultation
Library staff is available during staffed hours to answer any reference questions you may have. We answer questions via email, phone or in person.
Library staff can provide in-depth search and bibliography support. We prefer that you schedule an in-person consultation, but if you are not able to visit the library, an email or phone consultation can be scheduled.
Library staff can provide information about citation styles. We can also help you learn to use a citation management tool (such as EndNote or Mendeley) to manage your citations.
We can advise you on the copyright status of materials and best practices for use of copyrighted material. Visit our Copyright LibGuide for more information on copyright.
Instruction, Training & Tutorials
Library staff can provide individual, in-class, or small group training sessions for GCSOM students and faculty. Topics include but are not limited to: searching for information using library resources, functionality of our health sciences databases, evidence-based medicine or point of care resources, and citation management software. The library subscribes to a number of tools that can enhance any group project or course, including our LibGuides software.
